This blend contains rich, composted materials and sphagnum peat moss to help create an excellent environment to grow a thick, beautiful lawn. This Water Smart™ product helps protect your newly seeded lawn in hot and dry conditions. Great for all seeding, overseeding, sod, patching, and plug projects. We recommend wearing gardening gloves when using this product. For planting grass seed, mix in 1 inch of Scotts® Turf Builder® LawnSoil™ into the prepared area. Spread seed and lightly rake into the soil before watering. For established lawns, spread seed before applying 1/4 inch of soil. Refer to the coverage chart to determine the right amount of soil for your project. For optimal results, use with Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed. *Tests prove Scotts® Turf Builder® LawnSoil™ grows grass thicker compared to native topsoil when applied at the 1 inch application rate.
